About this Event
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EVENT:
We’re breaking out the bikes and visiting a classic bike trail in Anchorage – The Coastal Trail. This trail takes us right along the Turnagain Arm from West Chester Lagoon to Kincaid Park with city and wilderness views. This is a great time to look over your equipment, do some riding to make sure the grease is moving, and stretch our legs after the winter hiatus (if you don’t bike in winter). This trail is 9.5 miles one way. We will be beginning at Kincaid Park, taking a snack/lunch break at Westchester Lagoon, and returning back. Anyone who wants to come is encouraged to do so and no one will be left behind. This is a relatively easy event.
LIABILITY WAIVER: Friendly reminder that it is required to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event. Please sign on an annual basis. Link here:

EVENT SIZE AND SAFETY:
For safety reasons, no fur friends will be allowed to attend this event. This trail is popular and can be busy, often running alongside roads, neighborhoods, and wooded areas with moose and we want to keep our pals safe. In accordance with Leave No Trace Principles, Women Who Explore limits the number of attendees for hiking or outdoor events. To make sure we are following local guidelines, every attendee must register through Eventbrite. In the event you successfully register, and then are unable to attend, please release the ticket so that another member may attend. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, Kate, directly!
PARKING PASS: We will be meeting up at Kincaid Park. Kincaid is an Anchorage Municipality park and does not require fees to park. However, this is a popular place to recreate and is the reason we will begin the event early.
TRAILHEAD DIRECTIONS: Kincaid Park is located at the west end of Raspberry Road. We will be gathering at the chalet to start.
