The Homefront Campaign played an important role In helping the fight against the Nazis from Home. Whilst conflicts were taking place in Europe, it was the people on the Homefront keeping the country going. This story is one not to be missed.
Your Wartime adventure will be Starting inside our Napoleonic Fort on the Banks of the River Mersey. Following the Tour you can enjoy some of Aunty Moe’s Wartime Scouse whilst listening to Wartime Music
The 90 Minute Tour will Teach you about The Bombings of the Blitz, The arrival of the US Army, German Spies in Wallasey, The AA Guns at the Red Noses, The Maunsell Forts in the River Mersey, local Rationing, The Dig for Victory Campaign, Ladies and their new duties, Evacuation, War Dances at the Tower Ballroom and All the Hidden History of the Seaside Resort including the Post War Years and Art Murals of Victoria Road
