Join our WW2 Historian & Author for an Informative Talk & Walking Tour starting inside Fort Perch Rock, the last defence on the Banks of the River Mersey
Starting inside our Historic Fort, this Talk and Short Walking Tour will tell you about The Bombings and the Blitz, The arrival of the US Army, German Spies in Wallasey, The AA Guns at the Red Noses, The Maunsell Forts in the River Mersey, local Rationing, The Dig for Victory Campaign, Ladies and their new duties, Evacuation, War Dances at the Tower Ballroom and The D-Day Connections
You will be walking a short distance and shown photographs on how changes have ocurred from then to now so this Tour is suitable for those who can’t walk far and we are wheelchair and Scooter Friendly.
