Join us for a picnic and hike on Sunday, May 17th, at 2 PM at the Madison County Nature Trail atop Green Mountain in southeast Huntsville. After our potluck lunch, we'll go for a hike around the lake.

Bring a food or drink item to share with everyone if you can. Comment in the discussion area on what you plan to bring, so we don't end up with multiples of the same item. We have plenty of plastic ware and picnic supplies, so don't worry about those. As to what to bring, anything or nothing at all would be fine, whether store-bought or homemade. We value the company more than what people actually bring.
Directions to the Madison County Nature Trail: Go south on Memorial Parkway to Weatherly Road. Turn left and go East on Weatherly Road for 1.5 miles to Bailey Cove Road. At the intersection, turn right and go south on Bailey Cove Road for 1.2 miles. At a flashing yellow light, turn left onto Green Mountain Road. Go slow, as it's a very twisty, narrow road along the ridge, for 1.8 miles. Turn right onto South Shawdee Road. Go 1.4 miles to the arched entrance way of the Nature Trail. Turn right onto Nature Trail Road and go to the end. If there's no parking space at the end of the cul de sac, there's additional parking to the right as you go back out. The picnic area is to the right through the main entrance. We're usually located at the tables near the pavilion.
