WUTC - Mercer Bay and Comans tracks to Karekare Beach

Join us for the first day trip of the year, where we will be going to the beautiful Auckland West Coast. We will be leaving Hamilton at 7 am on the 12th January, from Gate 1, near the Student Health Centre (usual place). And a long drive means we won't get to the track by 9:30 am.
From there we will be walking down to Karekare Beach, a beautiful beach, where we will have lunch and swim (there are surf lifesavers there). This beach has been used as a filming location for Oscar winning films.
From there, we will climb back to the carpark, via the coastal viewpoints of the Mercer Bay loop.
We will have dinner on the way back at the Bombay service station. Bring money for this
We aim to be back in Hamilton around 8pm.
The trip will cost $15.
The trip will be run by Josh, who has done this track in the past year and co-ran a club trip just south of this area in the Waitakere Ranges in March.
