Wunderbar Live Art Social #4: Helen Collard at NCA
About this Event
Wunderbar Live Art Social #4: Helen Collard
There are lots of people working in live art in Newcastle and the northeast, though we might usually think of ourselves as visual artists, musicians, choreographers, theatremakers and so on. Wunderbar would like to contribute towards building a community of practice around experimental performance, which starts with us getting to know each other.
After wonderful socials hosted by Patrick Ziza, Toi Guy & Jesse Salaman, and Liberty Hodes, we're back with the last in the series with Helen Collard. We'll watch a work in progress of a new film Helen is making, and there'll be plenty of time just to meet each other and hang out!
Please book. There's no need to pay, but if you would like to contribute it will help more things like this happen. BYOB!
In order to prioritise getting to know each other, the event is capped at twelve people. Please get in touch if you don't manage to get a ticket; we'll run a waitlist.

Helen Collard
British artist Helen Collard works from the premise that bodies are formed in relation to forces of power, colonisation and social binaries. They use performance and sound as a form of social sculpture. Drawing on embodied ritual, improvisation, storytelling and somatic practices as counter-movements toward collective belonging, testimony, and acts of transformation.
