From New Haven, Connecticut comes Eggy—one of the hottest bands on the jam scene, known for their captivating improvisational jams and high-energy live shows. Their unique blend of funk, rock, and jazz forms a sound that’s both intricate and irresistible. The band’s journey began in high school, and their dedication to their craft is evident in their constant touring and ever-evolving sound. While their studio albums, like their 2019 debut Watercolor Days, showcase their refined songwriting, their live performances are where they truly shine, with eclectic improvisations and loyal fan base, who call themselves “yolk folk.”
In true First Thursday fashion, we’re opening up the festivities with some delicious local flavor. Formed by three friends while students at Salisbury University, we’re thrilled to welcome to the stage Uncle Kunkle’s One Gram Band—one of the most talented and energetic live bands in the Baltimore music scene today. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists—including The Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Parliament, the Grateful Dead, and Frank Zappa—you better come correct with your dance shoes polished and your party pants pressed!
