WTF is a weekly, nonprofit Fusion dance event in Seattle that highlights under-represented dancers. Start with a drop-in Lindy Hop class, followed by 3 hours of dancing! ~*NEW HOURS 7:00-11:00*~
This September, we have the incredible Joshua Mclean! A seasoned Lindy Hopper, educator, and culture bearer with nearly fifteen years of experience in Lindy Hop, Charleston, and swing-era dances.
He has studied under both legendary and contemporary jazz dance artists, won numerous contests, and performed around the world.
His love for social dancing is evident on the dance floor, where his joyous laughter can be heard whether he's jamming solo, participating in line dances, or dancing as both a Lead and Follow.
He uses an inclusive teaching style, which blends fun games and challenging elements with a deep appreciation for the history of African American social dances. His classes encourage students to connect with the music and express their unique dance identities.
As a performer, Joshua has danced with live bands in New Orleans, energized corporate events, and contributed choreography to over 20 groups. Notable performances include “SW!NG OUT” at the Joyce Theatre and Wild Rhythm Dance Company’s Inside/Out Performance at Jacob’s Pillow.
Currently based in Seattle, Joshua continues to support the local arts community while working as a Software Engineer.
