The West Seattle Community Orchestras (WSCO) Wind Symphony and Symphony Orchestra concert on Friday, March 13, will honor Women’s History Month, paying homage to women composers. The program includes “Turbinia” by Katherine Bergman; “Three Places in the West” by Elena Specht; “Ash” by Jennifer Jolley; “Chasing Sunlight” by Cait Nishimura; “Tutued Toucan Can-Can” by Erika Svanoe; “Hymn for Everyone” by Jessie Montgomery; “Three Sketches of Unblemished Earth” by Jordan Jinosko; and the allegro movement of Florence Price’s “Symphony No. 1 in E Minor.” Justin Murray conducts the Wind Symphony. Bryan Kolk conducts the Symphony Orchestra. Join us at 7 p.m. in the Chief Sealth International High School Auditorium (2600 SW Thistle St).
