PS Cottier lives on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. She has published eight books of poetry. Her collection 'Utterly' was shortlisted for ACT Book of the Year, and her poem “Hip gnomes” won the Australasian Shadows Award for Poetry. She co-edited 'The Stars Like Sand: Australian Speculative Poetry' with Tim Jones. She also edited poetry for The Canberra Times for two years, and has reviewed fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Her most recent book is a novella, 'The Thirty-One Legs of Vladimir Putin', co-written with NG Hartland, which won the Finlay Lloyd 20/40 Prize in 2024. She wrote a PhD at the ANU on images of animals in the works of Charles Dickens, and has worked as a lawyer, union organiser and tea lady.
NG Hartland
Nick lives on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. His stories often examine the lives of people, AIs, and the very occasional monster who don’t fit in with society and are slightly worse for wear. His fiction has appeared in 'Amazing Stories', 'Andromeda Spaceways Magazine', 'Body of Work', Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild, 'Cicerone Journal', 'The Colored Lens', 'fourW thirty-four', 'Robotic Ambitions: Tales of Mechanical Sentience', Apex Book Company and 'Samjoko Magazine'. With PS Cottier, 'The Thirty-One Legs of Vladimir Putin' won the Finlay Lloyd 2024 twenty/forty publishing prize. He has a PhD in Criminology.
