You are warmly welcomed to a creative workshop all about self-care through the winter. 🤍
Writing for Wellbeing is a series of workshops designed as a safe space to explore self-care through creative writing. This time, we’re looking at how we can use writing and time in nature for self-care through the winter, embracing darkness as a time for comfort and introspection. Winter can be a tough season for many, especially after the busy festive season is over. Yet there is also such beauty in winter’s colours and darkness, in its quiet and stillness. If you’re looking for ways to support your wellbeing and take some time out for you, this is the workshop for you.
We will meet at the benches outside The Great House Barn in Rivington (there is parking around the barn and at the Rivington Hall Barn, too - we recommended arriving early as spaces fill up quickly). We will then take a short walk up to the Pinetum, experience forest bathing and take time to connect to ourselves in winter’s stillness. There will be time to take lots of photographs before heading back to the barn, where we will wrap up warmly with hot drinks for a series of guided writing activities.

⏰ 10am - 1pm (please arrive early to allow parking time)

🎟️ Places are £15, including a journal, all writing materials and a gift to take home (drinks can be purchased separately at the barn)
