Writing for Busy Minds: Workshop
About this Event
Writing Your Book: From Idea to First Draft
Have you always wanted to write a book but don’t know where to start? Or perhaps you’ve started writing but struggled to maintain momentum?
Whether you’re writing fiction, memoir, self-help, business or non-fiction, this interactive workshop will give you practical tools to turn your ideas into a finished manuscript.
Specifically formulated for budding writers with busy lives or busy minds, from Jen’s extensive experience working with neurodivergent authors, as well as entrepreneurs and busy people, you’ll pick up tips on narrowing down ideas, finding time to write when it feels like there is none, and optimising time and skills.
During this 2-hour workshop, you’ll learn how to:
- Develop and refine your book idea
- Create a structure that keeps readers engaged
- Overcome writer’s block and perfectionism
- Build a sustainable writing routine
- Get your first draft written
- Edit your work effectively
- Understand the journey from manuscript to published book
We’ll cover writing techniques suitable for both fiction and non-fiction authors, with practical exercises throughout to help you start making progress immediately.
But the support doesn’t stop there...
Your ticket also includes:
Six months’ access to an exclusive WhatsApp accountability group
Writing can feel lonely. The group will give you encouragement, motivation and accountability from fellow writers on the same journey.
Monthly one-hour online author check-ins
Join a live video call each month where we’ll:
- Celebrate progress
- Share writing wins
- Discuss challenges
- Exchange tips and resources
- Help one another stay motivated
- Answer questions about the writing and publishing process
Beta launch offer: £99
This is a special beta price while the programme is being tested and refined. Future workshops will be offered at a higher price once established.
Whether you’ve got a book idea scribbled in a notebook, half a manuscript on your laptop, or you’re starting from scratch, this workshop will help you take the next step towards becoming a published author.
