Time: 3 - 5 p.m.
Location: Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture
Through writing, what connections can we make between our past experiences of grief and the griefs we will continue to face during the climate crisis? In this workshop, we explore examples of poetry and other creative writing that address environmental and climate grief. Students are guided through several writing exercises of their own stories that braid personal experience with grief with the private and collective losses of climate change.
Optional materials to bring:
- Notebook or something to write in
- Pen/pencil/favorite writing implement
For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.
