Join us for our next Writers of the Whale Coast – Hermanus gathering.
We’ll be meeting again for a relaxed, encouraging space to connect, share, and be inspired with fellow writers and poets. Venue details will be confirmed soon.
Optional 500-Word Challenge
The next challenge theme is:
🌊 “The Unseen” 🌊
As always, the challenge is completely optional.
Write around 500 words in any genre: poetry, fantasy, memoir, mystery, romance, sci-fi, historical… whatever inspires you!
This month comes with a fun twist!
🐾 Your story must incorporate an animal in some way. It could be a real animal, a mythical creature, a symbolic animal, a beloved pet, or even a creature entirely of your own imagination. How important the animal is to the story is completely up to you.
Interpret the theme in any way your imagination leads you.
You’re welcome to:
• Volunteer to read your piece aloud, OR
• Allow me to post a photo of your story on our group/page afterward for positive, supportive feedback (this can be done anonymously).
Remember: Only encouragement. No negativity.
This group is about inspiration, kindness, and celebrating creativity.
