In Literature, description refers to the language used to bring attributes of subjects to the reader’s mind. In the next class, Descriptively Yours, Part II, Carole will build on Part I by delving further into the description of the senses by adding the purpose of description in scenes and characters. Also, what is the purpose of metaphor? Simile? Hyperbole? Or personification?
Carole Bumpus began writing about food and travel when she stumbled upon the amazing stories of women and war in France. A retired family therapist, Bumpus lives in Redwood Shores in the San Francisco Bay Area.
