*Opportunity for Young Writers*
A unique opportunity has arisen for young writers to learn from a globally recognized writer, *Mr. Ishmael Kamara through the WRITERS ACADEMY*. A Sierra Leonean based in the Netherlands, Mr. Kamara has been promoting the craft and showcasing the beauty of our nation through his work. His books, such as "Hundred Golden Horses" and "Smile", have provoked thoughts and inspired readers to explore his literary world.
Through his work, Mr. Kamara has had opportunities to share ideas with diverse personalities and events on the global stage. Now, in collaboration with the Writer's Academy, he aims to extend these opportunities to young writers in Sierra Leone who struggle to have their voices heard.
Many writers face challenges in understanding the techniques and business aspects of writing, leading to frustration and abandonment of the craft. To address this gap, the Writers Academy is organizing a 3-day workshop to support young writers in their journeys.
*Workshop Details*
This pilot phase is limited to a select number of writers. The workshop will be followed by exciting opportunities, including a compilation piece to be published internationally.
