Story Crush: Share the Book You Love
It’s speed dating… but for your favorite story.
To celebrate one year of The Writer’s Room, we’re hosting a 90s-style speed dating night — without the romance, just passionate book pitches. This evening is about the books, not dating, and our goal is to create a safe, welcoming space for book lovers to connect.
Bring the book that stole your heart and persuade someone else to fall for it too. Every few minutes, you’ll meet a new partner, pitch your chosen book, and hear about theirs. Along the way, you’ll collect a fresh reading list and a map of Rotterdam’s best local bookstores.
How it works:
- Choose ONE book you truly love.
- Use our pitch guide to prepare your answers.
- Pitch in 3 minutes or less.
- Fall in love with other people’s picks.
It’s fast-paced. It’s passionate. It’s completely platonic. Come for the stories. Leave with your next obsession.
