Helios & Ivy presents

Come scoot over to us at the newly-opened Semantics Cafe in the heart of downtown. You can expect an immersive night about celebrating your expression, exploring your voice, and meeting other creatives in the community while enjoying a drink and treat from the coffee bar!

If you know you want to express yourself and yet you struggle to do so, this is for you. You don't need to be a seasoned writer, poet, actor; all you need to do is be willing to try and be yourself.

What you will need to bring:

• A written piece less than 2 minutes when verbalized (poems, story, lyrics, journal etc.)
• Pen
• Paper

What you can expect:

• A quick talk with Shelly Ann Szigli about creativity
• Presenting your written piece
• A 2-part workshop and presenting
• Discussion

We will also be running a clothing drive in collaboration with Good Neighbour - please feel free to bring clothing or essentials!

This night is not just about sharing and listening, it's about valuing your humanity and stepping into the person you know you can be, even when it's terrifying. We are unbelivably excited to bring this to you all on this special evening of Write & Share Night at Semantics Cafe. We can't wait to hear you speak like you!
