Tellabration! is an evening of storytelling celebrated across the US and even the world.

Open Mic

This show will be open mic. Attendees are welcome to sign up, the night of the show, to perform. It's also perfectly okay to just come to listen! Performers need an audience. Performers should plan to take 5-10 minutes. The target audience for the show is teens and adults, so keep that in mind when considering content. All types of performance are welcome as long as they are low tech and can fit in a living room. If you would like access to a piano, that is possible. Please let me know ahead of time as it will impact how I arrange the performance and audience space ([email protected]). I've attended other open mics in Whitewater. I know y'all are talented and the audience is in for a treat!

is an old brick home in Whitewater, Wisconsin, originally built by the Wright family in 1857. Sarah Beth Nelson, the current owner of the Wright House, will host the concert.

Payment is handled separately from Eventbrite. You can pay for your ticket through PayPal (paypal.me/sarahbethnelson), Venmo (@Sarah-Nelson-339), or by cash at the show. Include a note in PayPal or Venmo that this is for the Wright House Concert. Suggested $10 donation per ticket. If you can not pay $10, consider donating what you are able, bringing a snack to share, or bringing a small handmade gift or card for the performer.

All donations are being collected by Sarah Beth Nelson, the host of the show. A portion of proceeds from this Tellabration! will be donated to What's Ray Saying. Ray Christian began his storytelling career at open mics. He is now a professional storyteller, voice actor, and podcast host. He and his family live in western North Carolina and were greatly impacted by hurricane Helene.
