This will be our 5th committee meeting of the year. If you were not at the first one or any this year. You're still more than welcome to come. We can use all the help we get to possible to grow and meet our goals for all the cemetery and groups we are trying to support in Michiana.
Agenda:
-Make sure storage is 100% set for CIty of SouthBend.
-Working parties for both Fairview and City of SouthBend Cemeteries set up.
--Military Repres for City of SB and Fairview slot are filled at vetted 100%
--Girl Scouts/Cub Scouts names and assignmented to Vets.
Location of meeting is subject to chance but as of the moment we will be meeting at Martin's Super Market Upstairs area of deli. Had a couple gatherings here and it went well. Feel free to bring lunch or beverage.
Below is more details of WHAT Wreaths Across America is and what this committee is being designed for:
In the last 15 years, WAA has grown by leaps and bounds, with over 4,225 participating locations nationwide, more than 6,000 sponsorship groups and in 2023 placed over 3 million wreaths in total—all in the mission to Remember the fallen; Honor those who serve (and their families); and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.
This will be the 7th year at Fairview Cemetery. City of Southbend with a local DAR group also desires to get bigger.
With the motivation and momentum up from the success of 2023 and hearing more and more every year of individuals, organizations, and businesses wanting to get more involved. This is why we are forming a committee of individuals to help this mission of WAA in Michiana Area to grow. Wreaths don't sponsor themselves and the events don't come together with just one person. We need your help Michiana to grow.
