Carmon Community Funeral Homes of Windsor will host its annual Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony on Saturday, December 14th at 12 p.m. at the Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Anyone is invited to attend this special event on the same day that over 2,600 similar wreath-laying ceremonies will be held across the U.S., at sea, and abroad.
The day of the event will include a brief ceremony, you'll hear from our Host John Carmon, Chaplin Steve Theil, Nuchette Black-Burke - Windsor, CT Mayor, as well as other members of our Town Council, Windsor State Reps & Senators, Local Windsor Veterans & Members of the Military will be placing a Wreath for each Military Branch... TAPS will be performed by Fred Miodowski... Local Scout Troop 149 as our Color Guard... and many other folks...
After the ceremony, those who have ordered a wreath & visitors are welcome to lay a wreath while we Remember and Honor our veterans through the Laying of Remembrance; wreaths placed on the graves of our country's fallen heroes, and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
Here's How to put in a Wreath order or Volunteer (During the November month)...
