Come visit the Glass Clouds Residency House on Governors Island, only a 5-min ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn, for an afternoon concert of chamber music on themes on nature and environment. Free event with optional donation.

✻ World premiere by composer Iván Rodríguez and poets from the Climate Writers Collective
✻ Chamber music by Caroline Shaw, Kaija Saariaho, Ludwig van Beethoven, Alberto Ginastera, and Phillip Glass
✻ Enjoy refreshments and explore our beautiful historic venue, House 14 on Governors Island
✻ Performers: Marisa Karchin (soprano), Raina Arnett (violin), Holly Workman (violin), Elijah Spies (viola), Ruth Stokes (cello)
Location: The Glass Clouds House (Building 14, Nolan Park) is a beautiful community arts space with a cozy living room salon & porch seating, surrounded by lots of green space. Air conditioning and cold drinks provided :)
Governors Island is a fun, family-friendly place to spend the day (rain or shine!), with bike trails, art exhibits, and food trucks.
About GCE: The Glass Clouds Ensemble is a chamber music collective that performs imaginative concerts of classical & contemporary music. GCE is a 2026 Organization-in-Residence with Governors Island Arts, presenting free music programming on weekends all summer long.
