Bryant Holsenbeck began her art career as a basket maker and has since evolved into an environmental artist who creates large-scale installations documenting society’s waste stream. She has exhibited and taught throughout the United States and Australia and has received two North Carolina Arts Council Fellowships, a Project Grant, and an NEA Arts and Learning Grant. Her book, The Last Straw: A Continuing Quest for Life without Disposable Plastic, was published in 2018. As an independent studio artist, she creates books, birds, and animal sculptures from recycled materials.
Cost: $315for individual SEFAA members; $375 for non-members.
Additional Supply Fee: None. $40 for instructor-provided materials and supplies is included in the class cost.
Scholarship Available: Yes. One scholarship will be available after 9 students have registered.
