Consider this a pre-Festival introduction to one of Grapefest 2025 International Wine Experiences! A key feature of the this 39th Grapefest is an offering of wines by the glass from Barossa Valley with is the Napa Valley of Australia's wine trade. The wine trade began there with German and British settlers in the 1840s built on many of the Rhone styled varietals Shiraz (Syrah) Mouvedre & Grenache leading to the world's largest collection of old vine Shiraz which while initially focused on the "sticky" market of fortified wine shifted to red table wines excelling with GSM blends & library level Shiraz. We have a number of winemakers & their wines coming in especially for the festival and its a great time for us to take a run down under!
