Woven Lounge Pants Workshop Sewing the Pacific Pants

Join the Santa Rosa, CA Chapter of the American Sewing Guild for an exciting two-day workshop focused on sewing a comfortable woven lounge pant. In this hands-on class, participants will work closely with the instructor to complete: Basic fitting adjustment, accurate cutting, construction of woven elastic waisted pants, with optional patch pockets.

Participants must use the selected pattern,The Pacific Pants by La Rae Handmade.

Patterns may be: Printed and tiled at home or downloaded in AO format and professional printed at a local printer such as Sebastopol Blue or Fiber Snob. Assistance with pattern printing or tiling is available by contacting the event coordinator.

Fabric Preparation

All fabric must be pre-washed and pressed before class.

Class Goals & Skill Level

This beginner-friendly workshop is ideal for confident beginners and intermediate sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and reading basic patterns.

The goal of the class is for every participant to leave with a well-fitted lounge pants pattern that can serve as the foundation for many future styles. Most participants will also complete a finished pair of pants during the workshop.
