A great Buffet Dinner, followed by the movie, then a meet-and-greet and question and answer session with the people in the movie.Worth the Fight, produced by John Biffar, a nine-time Emmy Award Winner, is an inspiring documentary about the local SJC Boxing Club and its founder Steve Canton, which has been in business for almost 57 years, the oldest continuously open boxing gym in the world by one owner.
This compelling documentary profiles ten diverse fighters whose stories transcend the sport – each battling unique personal obstacles outside the ring while finding strength within it. As Canton guides these athletes through technical training and life lessons, viewers witness how boxing becomes a metaphor for resilience. Raw, emotional, and uplifting, WORTH THE FIGHT reveals how the most brutal battles aren’t always fought wearing gloves.
It won the Fort Myers Film Festival and was also voted “Audience Favorite” movie. It won the prestigious Milan, Italy Film Festival. It had its world premiere at the iconic Village East by Angelika Theater in Manhattan, New York with a full-house red carpet event on April 11, 2025, and received excellent reviews. It has been submitted and accepted for consideration for an Academy Award and now, you can watch it while enjoying a great dinner at the Broadway Palm Theater Royal Palm Room.
