Maybe it will snow. Maybe it will sleet. Maybe it will be -20. Maybe it will be 45. The roads and trail might be plowed. Maybe not. It might suck, but it will be the best sucky ride ever. We don't know...but what we do know is it's the 10th Annual Worst Day of the Year Ride!
It's the shortest day, the least amount of daylight, and the holidays are looming...let's celebrate by riding our bikes and grabbing a few drinks together!
This ride is approximately 10-12 miles depending on weather and will maybe be on Konkopot Creek (gravel) and city streets. Fat bikes and mountain bikes work best bc of unknown road conditions but we've had a brave few survive The Worst Day of the Year on a CX bike - some years there is no snow so any bike works just fine then!
Show up at 5pm and have a drink before we had out if you wish. Pack a roadie if you want. We will head to a few holiday light displays, stop at Tanners for drinks and food and then head back to the shop. This ride is conversationally paced, approximately 10-12 mph, so it may be a little hard for kiddos (there is some drinking involved as well, but that's your call lol).
Helmets, head and taillights are required.
But hey, on the flip side you'll wake up the next day to a few extra minutes of daylight.
