This will be a 3 round 80 point Team Yankee tournament with some special rules as listed below.
Entry Fee - $10
Special Rules -
World War Three has kicked off and in the worst case scenario, both sides have panicked and launched chemical weapons and EMPs, leaving the battlefield a mess.
To represent this, before each round, a D6 will be rolled and that will determine many of the following effects apply for that game.
1. Reduced Morale
● Increase all Courage, Morale, Rally, Remount, and Counter Attack by 1. No morale based stat may be reduced below a 5+. (Example: US Mech Infantry Morale, Rally, and Counter Attack would go from 4+ to 5+.)
2. Increased Risk of Harm
● Increase all Infantry, Unarmoured Tank, or Aircraft saves by 1.
● Reduce all Armour ratings by 1. You cannot reduce past 0. (Example: Humvees will stay Front 0, Side 0, Top 0.)
3. Difficulty of Movement
● All terrain becomes rough terrain meaning teams cannot use their Cross-Country or Road Dash speeds. This does not create cover for the whole table, but only reduces speed to a max of Tactical or Terrain Dash.
4. Reduced Vision
● Teams roll to determine their maximum Line of Sight on the Night Visibility Table (see page 66 of the rulebook). Night Vision Devices do not affect this roll. There is no additional penalty to hit. If your mission features the Night Rule, disregard this rule and play using the Night Rule as described in the mission.
5. No Radar
● Cancel all the effects of the Radar rule.
6. No Laser Rangefinders
● Cancel all the effects of the Laser Rangefinders rule. Accurate rules are still allowed.
7. Damaged Stabilisers
● All vehicles with Stabilisers and Advanced Stabilisers reduce their tactical speed to a maximum of 10 in/25 cm and their moving ROF to 1. This includes all vehicles like IFVs (such as Bradleys and BMP3s).
8. Failed Guidance Systems
● When firing a Guided or Guided AA weapon, roll a die immediately before rolling to hit. On a 4+, the missile functions. Otherwise, it misfires. Attempting to fire and then misfiring does count as firing. Units will Light Up if playing at night and lose Gone to Ground (if the unit does not have rules like Hammerhead or Swingfire).
9. No Artillery Computers
● Artillery and Salvo weapons treat their Skill as 5+ when attempting to Range In. The Observer rule may still be applied.
10. No Night Vision Devices
● Cancel all the effects of the Thermal Imaging and Infra Red rules.
11. Fewer Aircraft
● Players may only use Strike Aircraft and Helicopters in flights of two. If players include flights of 4 in their original list, then those units count as their original point total for the calculation of reserves but are still limited to flights of two for the duration of the game. Transport helicopters are unaffected by this rule.
