Wormwood Scrubs BMX Club - Women & Girls BMX session

We aim to cater for ALL women and girls who feel like mixed-gender settings present a barrier to their participation in, usually, male-dominated sports.

Starting something new doesn't need to be intimidating or exclusively for 'naturally-talented' individuals. We believe that ALL women and girls* have the right to participate in sport and build a community around empowerment and community.

These sessions are led by 'Women & Girls'-trained coaches who will provide an inclusive and supportive environment for young people and adults who identify as a girl or woman*. We aim to make our sessions as open and accessible as possible for anyone keen to give cycling a go.

We promise that there is something for everyone. If you are keen to learn exciting skills such as jumps, manuals and wheelies, we've got you!

AND if you are keen to get more bike handling skills and taking it chill whilst also getting some exercise, we've got you too!

*ALL women as well as non-binary people who feel this space is for them.

All equipment and high-level coaching will be provided.

Schedule

11.00 - 12.00: SEND group session

12.00 - 13.00: Women & Girls session

13.15 - 14.30: Open Access to All session

11.00 - 13.30: FREE Bike Repairs (Bi-weekly)

Please book one slot per rider, per session.

Please bring long-sleeved trousers, shirts or jumpers. You'd be required to have all parts of the body covered; some body armour is available.

We are taking donations from £2 per rider to help the club's sustainability and equipment maintenance.
