On Saturday, September 27 from 10am - 4pm, join us at the Feiro Marine Life Center for a fun-filled Worldwide Day of Play! Children are invited to participate in a variety of activities throughout the day. For this special event, activities and admission into Feiro are FREE for kids!Every hour, on the hour, we’ll host exciting outdoor games just outside the Center. Inside our classroom, kids can dive into marine-themed LEGO play and creative coloring activities. Don’t miss out on our adventurous scavenger hunt with nature-themed items waiting to be discovered around the building and beach!

Play is important because it helps children learn, grow, and develop a variety of different skills. Studies show that play is linked to increased cognitive and social-emotional development, self-control, problem solving, relationship building and emotion management.
Our World: Worldwide Day of Play is part of Nickelodeon’s Our World global initiative to inspire kids and provide them with tools to activate their individual and collective agency. As part of a network of than 300 ACM member children’s museums who reach millions of families in North America, and the more than 1,000 museums participating in Museums for All, a national access initiative that ACM manages, Feiro Marine Life Center is a vital collaborator in the Our World: Worldwide Day of Play.
