Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mākena Golf & Beach Club, the Opening Ceremony marks the official start of the week of celebration. The evening begins with a traditional Hawaiian blessing, followed by opening remarks and a preview of the exciting events to come. Guests (21+ only) will enjoy hosted pūpū and refreshments while taking in stunning ocean views and connecting with fellow supporters of marine conservation.More than a gathering, this evening honors cultural tradition, community, and the spirit of aloha as we launch a week-long celebration of Pacific Whale Foundation’s 45th anniversary and the return of World Whale Day.
