The struggle for safe and free drinking water in coastal Bangladesh is a frontline reality. Rising seas, salinity intrusion, and extreme weather are threatening the very basics of life—reminding us that climate justice begins with water justice. As one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable nations, this is not just a moment for awareness — it is a call for urgent action.Observed globally on 24–28 August 2025, 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 offers us a platform to push forward concerns on the growing water and climate crises. On this occasion, the WaterMove campaign to End Water Poverty in Coastal Bangladesh, led by PRAAN in collaboration with ActionAid Bangladesh, is launching a series of youth-led actions across coastal Bangladesh to amplify voices, inspire innovation, and demand solutions that protect dignity and rights. With our campaign partners — ISDE, Prantojon, Soodesh, SHBO, and Youth Volunteer Cox’s Bazar — we are connecting local struggles with global movements.
