World Water Day Tree Planting with Wolf River Conservancy
Schedule
Sat Mar 28 2026 at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
UTC-05:00Location
Rodney Baber Park | Memphis, TN
Volunteers of all ages are needed to plant native trees to further urban reforestation efforts in the Wolf River Watershed. Urban trees reduce energy use, remove pollutants, filter stormwater, cool streets, and provide health benefits like reduced stress and improved mental health. Over 1,500 native trees will be planted, helping to diversify a wildlife corridor within the Wolf River floodplain. Planting native trees will complement renovations to the park around the entrance and playground, while aiding in urban reforestation.
World Water Day highlights the importance of stewardship of our rivers, streams, lakes, wetlands, and aquifers. Join us for a morning of getting a little dirty while having lots of fun, all while helping to make a lasting local impact!
