Infantry representing Japanese and American forces will clash in this extraordinary living history event. Camps will be set up with authentic gear and appearance through the day and a number of the the U.S. Navy aircraft from WWII on display will be outside with re-enactors.
At 1:00pm each day, American and Japanese forces will skirmish on the airfield with select WWII aircraft flying during the re-enactment (weather permitting). 60-70 re-enactors are expected to take part and re-create a harrowing invasion party storming an island in 1944-1945.
All three museums will be open: The American Heritage Museum, The Historic Aviation Hangar and Classic Automobile Barn. This is a unique opportunity to see some of the world’s most rare aircraft, extraordinary American classic automobiles, historic tanks, armored vehicles, military artifacts and much more.
