For the first time, on World Sustainability Day, October 25, 2025 (in celebration of the day on October 29th, 2025), STEAM PEI will host a free, vibrant, hands-on event to celebrate eco-friendly innovation and creativity with youth, families, and the broader community. The event will focus on key themes such as renewable energy, sustainable transportation, food security, sustainable gift making or upcycling and building net-zero communities. Through interactive stations and STEAM-based activities, participants will learn how clean technologies and sustainable practices can shape a better future.
Attendees will build and test renewable energy models, explore the science behind tidal energy, experiment with sustainable food systems, and discover how green infrastructure supports low-carbon living. Local organizations (to be identified) will be on-site to share their work and inspire action through community-led climate solutions.
This event will spark curiosity, empower youth as climate leaders, and highlight how science, technology, engineering, art, and math can drive sustainability. By combining fun, education, and environmental awareness, STEAM PEI aims to foster a culture of innovation and resilience across generations in PEI.
