About this Event

Join us for our World Suicide Prevention Day Conference, hosted by Liverpool John Moores University in collaboration with Liverpool City Council, Mental Health Research for Innovation Centre (M-RIC), Suicide Prevention Partnership Cheshire and Merseyside and CHaMPS Public Health Collaborative.

This conference will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, public health practitioners, local authorities, community organisations, and people with lived experience to explore the latest evidence, innovation, and best practice in suicide prevention.

Through keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, and opportunities for networking, delegates will hear about current research, local and national initiatives, and practical approaches to preventing suicide and supporting people experiencing suicidal thoughts or crisis.

Whether you work in health and care, education, social care, the voluntary and community sector, or have an interest in suicide prevention, this event offers an opportunity to learn, share ideas, and strengthen collaborative efforts to reduce suicide across our communities.

Together, we can improve understanding, promote hope, and help save lives.

Content notice: This conference will include discussions about suicide and self-harm, which some attendees may find distressing. Please take care of your wellbeing throughout the event, and support will be available if needed.
