World Refugee Day Multicultural Women’s Breakfast
About this Event
The World Refugee Day Multicultural Women’s Breakfast
This event is organised by the women4women Network in conjunction with Southside Partnership DLR Women's Programme, supported by the DLR County Council and the Community Integration Fund.
It's a marvellous morning that brings together women from diverse backgrounds to celebrate community support, resilience and belonging. It begins with an ice-breaker as always, to creating a welcoming space for connections. At the heart of it, we have invited 3 inspiring women to speak about their lived experience and tell us the story of their journey to Ireland. Each offering a unique prospective and insight into their cultures, the circumstances and strengths, in turn highlighting the courage, adaptation and determination it took.
The workshop provides us the opportunity to listen, learn and engage in meaningful dialogue in a safe environment. It’s a celebration of survival and valuable contribution refugees make to Irish society.
The mood will be lightened with an invigorating dance workshop at the end and of course a potluck breakfast featuring the delicious dishes from the many different countries of origin of the attendees!
