The organization of the regional summit of the World Peoples Assembly in the Republic of India — the World Public Summit. India — in 2026 represents a logical and strategically significant step in the development of international public and humanitarian dialogue and a consistent continuation of the ideas of the World Public Assembly 2025 “A New World of Conscious Unity.”
India represents a unique civilizational model in which the principle of “unity in diversity” has been successfully realized over many centuries — one of the core values enshrined in the Declaration of the First World Public Assembly. The Indian worldview, rooted in the ancient philosophical concept of VasudhaivaKutumbakam (“The world is one family”), affirming the unity of all humanity, is organically aligned with the objectives of the World Peoples Assembly, as repeatedly emphasized by India at international forums.
Contemporary India possesses significant potential for global influence as one of the key centers of the emerging multipolar world, the Chair of BRICS in 2026 and an active participant in international initiatives. The country demonstrates a harmonious combination of traditional values, spiritual heritage, and dynamic technological development, forming a viable and highly relevant model for global reflection on future development pathways.
The Public Summit in India will make it possible to mobilize the country’s intellectual, cultural and public potential to develop practical initiatives and substantive proposals that will form the basis of the outcomes of the World Public Summit “A New World: Values That Unite,” scheduled for September 2026.
India as a Bridge Between Civilizations and a Platform for Global Dialogue
India has traditionally served as a natural bridge between East and West, North and South, as well as between diverse religious, cultural and civilizational traditions. In the context of a deepening crisis of trust and growing fragmentation of the global space, India’s experience in dialogue, pluralism and peaceful coexistence acquires particular significance.
India demonstrates its ability to combine historical heritage and modern approaches to development, offering its own vision of responses to key global challenges, from digital transformation to humanitarian security, education and social sustainability.Holding the Public Summit in Indiacarries an important symbolic message: the future of humanity can be built on respect for diversity, a culture of dialogue and the search for common ground amid differences.
In 2026, India will become a focal point of the international public and expert agenda by hosting a number of major international forums, creating favorable conditions for synergy and for attracting broad international expertise to the work of the Public Summit.
Main Objectives of the Summit:
To specify and enrich with practical content the values of a “New World of Conscious Unity” through the Indian experience;
To develop a package of concrete regional initiatives and “working models” from Asia and the Global South for inclusion in the agenda of the Second World Public Summit “A New World: Values That Unite”;
To strengthen the network of people-to-people (public) diplomacy in the region by engaging Indian NGOs, academic circles, business representatives and youth in the activities of the World Peoples Assembly;
