Original dance work 'Kodama ★ Echoes Across Time' celebrates Japan's rich artistic legacy through a visually stunning experience! Created by Nao Kusuzaki, performed by Houston Contemporary Dance Company, and accompanied by live illustrations onstage by Acky Bright, the piece draws inspiration from anime, manga, and centuries of artistry that have shaped global pop culture.'By the People: Conversations Beyond 250' is a series of community-driven programs created by humanities councils in collaboration with local partners. The initiative was developed by the Federation of State Humanities Councils and the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage.
