This is my first ever meetup for postcrossing so here is the plan I have devised and will probably get fine tuned the closer we get to the date:
Let’s get the postcrossing community in Cornwall together!
We shall all meet at the Cafe for some drinks and a small social - which can of course include postcards, board games and having a good old natter!
There will be the opportunity to swap postcards with each other and purchase postcards from Happy Piranha who do an entire range of Cornish themed postcards!
For this momentus occasion (my first WPD!) I am going to devise a plan with a fellow postcrosser, Wendy, to get some supplies together to be able to write and decorate postcards (more on this to follow - possibly postcards and stickers!). I have pens and things that I will bring along so don’t worry about bringing all your Postcrossing necessities.
This would be a great oppotunity to snag that WPD icon that Postcrossing awards if you send a postcard on that day!
I am still talking the Happy Piranha about using their space and what they can do to accomodate us. I would need a better idea of numbers before I can set things in stone with them - that being said this is going to be open doors to all! Want to introduce a friend to Postcrossing? Bring them along! Want to show your partner that you aren’t alone in this wonderful world? Bring them too!
With that all being said… Who’s is up for a good old Cornish Postcrossing meetup? Oggy oggy oggy!
