Join us at the Hilton Garden Inn Abingdon on Friday 10th October to celebrate World Porridge Day with a networking breakfast and to raise funds for the Kenyan school Porridge Clubs programme, tackling school absenteeism in Thika and Kiambu County so children have better opportunities for a brighter future.
Enjoy tea, coffee, a bowl of porridge and an array of your favourite toppings as we network, while finding out how a daily mug of porridge can break the poverty cycle as Kenyan children enter adulthood. The Hilton Garden Inn chef is also planning to whip up some tasty oat-based treats and we're even hoping to offer a taster of true Kenyan uji!
Tickets are £18 each (+ eventbrite fees) from which £11 - or 120 mugs of porridge! - will be donated directly to the Porridge Clubs programme.
What’s more, each attendee will be entered into a prize draw, as a thank you for supporting the event, and the winning ticket holder will win an overnight stay for 2 people at the hotel with breakfast.
