Join us on Saturday, October 4th from 10 am - 1 pm at Mystic Aquarium as we read like scientists and writers, explore the aquarium for both facts and beauty, and sketch/write integrated pieces inspired by Aimee Nezhukumatathil’s book World of Wonders.We’ll share what we create and discuss ways to modify this experience for your own students, elementary through high school. Facilitators Jim Kaczynski (7th/8th grade science in Jamestown) and Brittany Richer Ahnrud (7th grade ELA in Jamestown) will share student-facing resources as well as work from former students that you can adjust and use in your own context. 3 PLUs will be awarded to all participants.
The cost is only $35, which covers the price of admission to the aquarium.
