World Laughter Day is celebrated on the 1st Sunday in May all over the world. It is the creation of the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr. Madan Kataria. We choose to laugh for our mental and physical well-being. We take our health and our laughter seriously, ho ho ha ha ha ha!Join us for our 11th Philadelphia Area World Laughter Day celebration.

Plenty of FREE Parking.
Wheelchair accessible.
Pack a bottle of water.
No experience, special equipment or attire needed.
Dress comfortably and colorfully- it's a celebration of life and connection through laughter!

1:00 - Set Up,
1:15 PM Special pre Laughter session activity- Peggy Tileston, MA, MT-BC, NIT, CMS-II, CLYT of Creative Questing , returns to guide us as all attendees are welcome to help create a communal earth altar.
Flowers and earth gifts will be provided but you can also bring some flowers or garden cuttings to add to our altar!
1:45 PM Welcome/Opening Remarks
2:00-2:50 PM World Laughter Day Celebration 2024
2:50-3:00 PM Final Meditation led by Edie Weinstein, CLYL
Laughter Yoga is the combination of:
-laughter exercises (based on everyday situations rather than on jokes and comedy)
-a series of deep yogic breathing exercises (pranayama, hence the word yoga)
-mindfulness meditation (calming and restorative)
We choose to laugh for our health.
No yoga poses, no experience necessary.
Non religious and non political
Simple, effective, all exercises can be easily modified and practiced seated or standing.
We will gather to connect joyfully and playfully. We combine laughter exercise and deep yogic breathing exercises, gentle improvisational movements and dance and end with a calming power-down meditation to help promote world peace.
No mat or special attire required. Bring a bottle of water and a blanket (optional) for our final meditation.
This is a FREE Family event ( but a $3.00 donation to the church will be gratefully appreciated if possible) , and everyone is welcome.
