World Day of Prayer (WDP) is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer and action for peace and justice. Each year, the WDP service is held on the first Friday in March. This year, the service will be held on Friday, March 6 at 1 PM at St. Stephen’s Church located at 405 Frederick Ave in Sewickley. Women in Nigeria have written this year’s program based on Matthew 11:28-30, “I will give you rest: Come.” All are invited to attend the service which will be followed by light refreshments.
