World Collage Day with Danielle Krysa aka The Jealous Curator

Celebrate World Collage Day at Collage-O-Rama!

Danielle Krysa aka The Jealous Curator kicks off Collage-O-Rama's World Collage Day festivities with an artist talk on finding your own creative voice followed by a 30-minute Q&A session! Please note that seating for the talk is first come, first served. The talk will also be broadcasted live online (see below for info).

At noon we'll turn our attention to the 5th annual Exquisite Community. This is a regional take on the surrealists' Exquisite Corpse and is organized by MJ Connors Davison. Multiple collaborators contribute portions of a human-scale collage without seeing any of the other participants' work and this will be the official unveiling of the collaged "bodies."

Around 1pm, we'll get into cutting and pasting for World Collage Day. In the spirit of Danielle Krysa's talk on finding your own creative voice, everyone will collage using the exact same source material which will be provided in the form of a double-sided 11x17-inch poster with images from Lydia Selk and Public Domain Image Archive. The poster is available as a download or a printed copy can be ordered in advance for those participating off-site.
