World Book Night Special (Quiz , Swap & Social)

World Book Day is for the kids, but what about fully grown readers who want to celebrate their love of books? 

This World Book Night, join us at Arts Bar, Hope Street for a whole evening of book swapping, a literature-themed quiz and catching up with fellow book lovers. 

You can choose to just come for the swap, and swerve the quiz, or simply bring your competitive spirit for the quiz alone to see if you’ve got the knowledge to bag the book voucher prize. 

Tickets for the swap are free, but limited. If you’re in the position to pay, please leave the free tickets for those who need them. 

📚 Book Swap (Limited free tickets and paid)

Bring a book (or a few), take a book, and discover something new. Simple as that.

🧠 Literary Quiz (Paid ticket)

Think you know your Austen from your Atwood? Put it to the test and grab a quiz ticket to take part and be in with a chance of winning a book voucher prize. You can play alone or with friends, but everyone in your team needs a ticket. 

Your quiz ticket includes access to the full event - no need to book a separate swap ticket.

If you've never been to a Books In Bars event, feel free to message us with any questions - or check out the FAQs below - but it is pretty simple.

All books are welcome, but please be considerate. If you only bring a couple of titles, take a few at first, while others browse - don't nab all the good ones and only leave your old GCSE French dictionary.

These events only work if everyone plays fair and brings books that someone might actually want to read or find helpful.
