World Bonsai Day 2026

World Bonsai Day was created in 2010 to honor the memory of bonsai master Saburo Kato. World Bonsai Day is for sharing the peaceful, living art of bonsai and advancing international friendship and goodwill throughout the world.

MBS is celebrating by having a one-day exhibit on May 9th in the atrium at Boerner Botanical Gardens.

Tree drop off is 8-8:15am and pick up is 3:30pm.

16 trees are needed. Stands are required and accent plants are encouraged.

3 people to help set up & tear down would be appreciated.

Arrangements can be made to drop off or pick up trees from Rob S if the times above do not work for you.
