Adopted by the U.N. General Assembly in April 2018, World Bicycle Day recognizes the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the bicycle . . . a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport, fostering environmental stewardship and health.Join us in celebrating the freedom that comes with cycling by participating in one of three FREE events - a water cycle class, an indoor bike class, or by riding outside with a group of fellow bike enthusiasts. - - - AQUATIC OPTION - - -
Get the same great ride with jumps, hills, and sprints but with the support and resistance of water while jamming out to an uplifting playlist (water shoes recommended). Located in the Downtown Family YMCA pool, this class begins at 6:00pm. Arrive 15 minutes early to ensure a proper bike fit.
- - - INDOOR OPTION - - -
Engulfed in a high energy, fun, and hard working atmosphere, this workout brings the freedom and excitement of outdoor cycling indoors. This great 45 minute cardiovascular workout begins at 6:30pm in the 3rd Floor Cycle studio. Arrive 5-10 minutes early to ensure a proper bike fit. - - - OUTDOOR OPTION - - -
Enjoy a 20, 25, or 30 mile group ride across the river and along the Ohio River Greenway. The group will leave from the Downtown Family YMCA (555 S. Second Street) at 6:30pm. Multiple pace groups led by trained Race Captains will be available.
