World Bee Day in St Albans: Celebration of Bees, Biodiversity & Craft

George Street Canteen has their own wild garden and bee hives so on the day you can drop in and see the bees, meet the beekeeper and learn about the how local hives are cared for, and what we can all do to protect biodiversity. Please note this will not go ahead if the weather is not warm and sunny. Bees don’t like the rain.

The Fabric Folk will be hosting a Beembroydery Workshop. Make your own stitched bee and use it to repair, customise or embellish your clothing a small act that supports slow fashion and conscious making. Suitable for adults and children 10+ (all children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult).

Tommy & Lottie will have a bee themed stall of their best selling bee collection including embroidered organic cotton t shirts, plantable cards, bags and prints. Wildflower seeds by local wildlife gardening group Wilderhood Watch.
