🌍 Global East – Global South: Relations. Memory. Knowledge
What kinds of relationships connect the Global South and the Global East? How is collective memory shaped, how is knowledge generated, and how do cultural ties across regions evolve?
On October 8–9, 2026, the Institute of International Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague, will host an international workshop offering a space for interdisciplinary discussion on historical connections, decolonization, post-socialist transformations, cultural exchanges, and new perspectives that transcend the traditional East–West and North–South divisions.
The workshop is designed as an interactive forum based on discussion, collaboration, and the sharing of insights among researchers from various disciplines and regions. The program will also include an online preparatory meeting in September and a follow-up online meeting in November.
